Meet Our 2024 Summer Camp Instructors

Colleen McNamara

Owner, Instructor

Hello! My name is Miss Colleen. I am the owner of Stutelage Innovations, and I am excited to spend our 12th summer camp season with your children! I have been teaching in the classroom for 13 years. I started my career as a literacy and math specialist and then became a 5th grade general education teacher in a co-taught special education classroom. I love to travel, cook, and read. When it comes to camps, I pride myself on being organized and thinking outside of the box. I am teaching my favorite camp again this year – Slime Time! I am looking forward to a schedule full of 10 new ooey-gooey slimes. I will be teaching at all four locations this summer.

Hi! My name is Miss Kelly, and I am so excited to be back for my 2nd year with the Stutelage Innovations team. I have been teaching in the classroom for 26 years. I have taught all subject areas in grades 4-6. I am currently a 5th grade teacher who teaches math, science, and social studies. I am a mother of 2 boys ages 18 and 21. I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors and being creative. I will be exploring the Wonderful World of Willy Wonka with campers and sharing my love of art with different types of materials at Awesome Artists camp!

Hi! My name is Miss Sara. This is my first year as a teacher aide at Stutelage, and I am so excited! I am currently studying mathematics at SUNY Potsdam where I also play Women’s Ice Hockey. I currently teach 3rd and 4th graders math after school for about an hour every week. I have always wanted to become a teacher ever since I was in elementary school. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family, baking, and exercising. I will mostly be at the East Amherst location, but I may jump around to other locations as needed. Once again, I am super excited about what this summer has to offer!

Hello! My name is Miss Jodi. Welcome to summer camp! I have been an elementary school teacher for 26 years. I am from Buffalo, but I started my teaching career in Las Vegas, Nevada. I taught in Las Vegas for 6 years, and then my family and I decided to move back to Buffalo to be closer to our extended families. I have been a first grade teacher for most of my career, and I have also taught in grades UPK – third grade. I love to sing and do comedy improvisation as my hobbies. I am so excited to work with your children in my camp, Crazy Concoctions, at all four locations this summer! Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hello everyone! My name is Miss Melissa. Last year was my first summer with Stutelage, and it was such a rewarding experience that I’m back and looking forward to year two! I have been a special education teacher for the past thirteen years, and I model my camps after my classroom by creating a positive, inclusive learning environment, making connections with my students, and having fun! My husband and I have two sons, ages 7 and 2, and a sassy beagle-mix named CeCe. We were so excited when we found out that there is both a new Inside Out and Despicable Me movie coming out this summer! I will be leading the Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 camps at the East Amherst, North Tonawanda, and Clarence Center locations to celebrate!

Hi! My name is Miss Ginamarie, and I am returning for my fourth year of summer camps at Stutelage! I have been a speech language pathologist for 7 years with a background in psychology and early childhood education. I have years of experience working with both the general and special education population, ages ranging from 18 months through 21 years. I am also a mother of 3 beautiful children and 1 fur baby. I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling! Join me this year for Ice Cream Social at East Amherst and Clarence Center!

Hello! My name is Dan Dolph or “Mr. Dan!” I am super excited to finally join the rest of the great educators at Stutelage Innovations! I have had the privilege of being an elementary teacher for 20 years. I have taught 3rd and 4th grade, and for the past seven years, I’ve had a blast teaching 5th grade science! I have also taught at my district’s summer rec program the past two years working with students in 2nd – 6th grade. I’m a diehard Bills fan, and I love reading, camping, bonfires, and spending time with family and friends. I’m a proud dad of two daughters ages 27 and 18 and a 15 year old son. I’m also a proud grandpa too! I am looking forward to meeting you as we have a blast at the following camps: STEAM Mania, Natural Disasters, and Mad Scientists!

Hello, I’m Miss Austin. I’m so excited to be working with Stutelage this summer! I have a degree in Childhood and Special Education and currently work as a teacher’s aide in West Seneca.  I am a mom to an 8-year-old who keeps me up to date on all things Lego, Mario, and Pokemon. I love arts and crafts, reading, and discovering new things.  I’m looking forward to having fun with your kiddos this summer at the Depew location!

Hello! My name is Miss Ally. This is my first year at Stutelage Innovations, and I am so excited to spend some of my summer with your children! In previous years, I have sent my own children to Stutelage and knew this was the perfect place for me to expand my teaching horizons. I will be working at the East Amherst location this summer where I will lead both the American Girl Doll camp and the Deep Sea Divers camp. I have my Master’s degree in Childhood Special Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education. My favorite hobbies include spending time with my family outdoors, reading as many books as I possibly can, and finding new spots to travel to! I look forward to meeting you and your children this summer and building long-lasting relationships for years to come!

Hi! My name is Miss Julia! This is my first year at Stutelage Innovations, and I am super excited to spend my summer creating experiments, playing fun games, and learning with your children! I work as a 6th grade special education teacher in the North Tonawanda City School District! I went to SUNY Cortland for my Bachelors and received a dual degree for General Education and Special Education Birth – 6th grade. I also have my Master’s degree from Buffalo State in Literacy Birth – 12th grade. Outside of school, I enjoy swimming, teaching kids how to swim, and lifeguarding. My favorite hobby is water skiing in the summer and skiing in the winter. I love to dance, hike, work out, and travel. I will be teaching Earth Exploration and Candy Land at all four locations this summer. I can’t wait to meet everyone and start my journey at Stutelage!

Hi! My name is Miss Katie. This is my first year at Stutelage, and I will be taking on a dual role of Summer Camp Instructor and Administrative Assistant! I will be teaching the Spa Girls camp at the East Amherst location, as well as the Disney Days camp at both East Amherst and North Tonawanda. I have 5 years of experience as a preschool teacher. I began my teaching career as a special education teacher in an integrated co-taught setting, and now I teach the Pre-K 3 class at St. John Lutheran School. I have dual degrees in Inclusive Early Childhood/Childhood Education and Anthropology, and I am passionate about social-emotional learning, sensory play, and exploring questions about the world around us. In my free time, I love to spend time outdoors, do yoga, paint, and read about my favorite things including insects, animals, psychology, language, and more! I am so excited to be joining the Stutelage team!

Hello! My name is Miss Kara, and I am so excited to teach my second year of summer camp with Stutelage! I have been a teacher for over ten years and have experience teaching preschool through high school. I enjoy crafting, exploring the outdoors with my two year old daughter and husband, reading, and kayaking. I will be teaching Craftmania camp this summer at the Clarence Center and Depew locations! I can’t wait to see you all and start crafting up a storm!

Hello! My name is Miss Arika. This will be my fifth year at Stutelage, and I know it will be another amazing summer! I work as a program aide in the Sweet Home School District and have my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education as well as my Master’s in Literacy Education. I love to read, go for walks and hike, as well as practice yoga. I have run numerous camps over the years. This summer, I will be teaching the IF The Movie summer camp as well as Sweet Treats at both our East Amherst and North Tonawanda locations. The weeks I am not working summer camps, I will be working at Stutelage as an administrative assistant like last summer! I can’t wait to see familiar faces and some new faces this year. I cannot wait to spend the summer at Stutelage!

Hello, I’m Miss Claire, and I’m so excited to work at Stutelage this summer. Currently, I am a kindergarten teacher with 13 years of experience. Before teaching, I worked as a social worker in the field of child development. The things I enjoy most in life are hiking with my dog, gardening, live music, and spending time with my large family. I am excited to teach summer camps on topics that I love. I will be instructing Animal Planet and Camping Adventures at East Amherst and North Tonawanda. Let’s have a great summer!

Hello! My name is Miss Allison. Recently I have been tutoring with Stutelage, but I am excited to join the summer camp team this year! I have been teaching for 10 years – 9 years in kindergarten and 1 year in 4th grade. I pride myself on creating strong relationships with all of my students and strive to have a classroom where everyone feels supported and has fun! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my incredible 1-year old daughter and husband. We enjoy going to local libraries, music and gym classes, and playgrounds together. I am looking forward to having two magical weeks at Harry Potter Camp at the North Tonawanda and Depew locations and Chocolate Lovers at Depew this summer!

Hi! I am Miss Sam. This will be my third summer at Stutelage. I am currently a kindergarten and first grade special education teacher in the Ken-Ton District. I have my Bachelors in Childhood and Early Childhood Education, as well as Special Education. I also have a Master’s Degree in Differentiated Instruction. On top of being a teacher, I coach varsity softball at Kenmore East High School. When I am not at school, I run a small business and attend different craft shows. I love sports, so you can usually find me watching a baseball game. I also enjoy working out and reading. This summer, I will be teaching the Beach Bash Camp and Garfield Camp at East Amherst, Clarence, and Depew! I can’t wait to see you!

Hello! My name is Miss Sarah and this is my second year at Stutelage. I am a first year, 3rd grade teacher at a Catholic school in Lackawanna. I have my Bachelor’s in Childhood Education, and I am returning to school in the fall for my Masters as a Literacy Specialist. Outside of school, I have been a dancer for over 15 years, with tap being my favorite! I love that I also get to teach tap to the littles, ages 2-6. I enjoy having a big cup of coffee every day, reading a good book, and going camping with friends and family. I look forward to a great summer of fun-filled camps: Magical Creatures, Cruisin’ Around the World, and Fear Factor. I can’t wait to see all of my campers at all 4 locations throughout the summer!

Hello! My name is Miss Laura. This is my first summer at Stutelage, and I will be working at the Depew location teaching the Sweet Treats camp! I have 14 years of educational experience, and I have worked with every age group! I have an undergraduate degree in adolescent education in Social Studies, and I have a Master’s degree in Special Education. I have been a self-contained special education teacher for 5 years. I enjoy reading, shopping, and iced coffee, plus I enjoy hanging out with my goldendoodle Seymour. I am excited about this new summer adventure and looking forward to making memories with the campers!

Dan Schwagler

Hey campers! My name is Mr. Dan. This is my 11th year at Stutelage, and I’ve never been more excited for camps than this year! I’ve been a teacher and coach for a decade and have degrees in adolescent education and history and a master’s degree in social studies education. I love playing guitar, painting, and playing fetch with my German Shepherd Hyzer. I am teaching at the East Amherst, Clarence Center, and Depew locations. I am teaching Star Wars, Superheroes, Digging For Dinosaurs, Video Gamers, Lego, Pokemon, Minecraft, and Super Mario. Can’t wait to see all you campers this summer!

Hello! My name is Mr. Tommy. This is my first year as a teacher aide at Stutelage, and I am so thrilled to be here! I am currently studying history and education at SUNY Potsdam where I also play Men’s Lacrosse. I currently work as a substitute teacher all around St. Lawrence County when I have free time between classes and practice. My goal has always been to teach young people either in the classroom or on the field/court. I also enjoy golfing and working out in my free time. I will mostly be at the Clarence Center location. I am super excited for this opportunity to work with some great people and kids!

Hello! My name is Miss Lexi. This will be my second summer at Stutelage, but this summer I am super excited to take on a new role. Last summer I worked as an administrative assistant, but this summer I will be teaching the Barbie and Squishmallows camps at all four locations! Currently, I am a 1st grade teacher at Winchester-Potters Elementary School in West Seneca. I also have experience working as a special education teacher and also have my Masters degree in Literacy. During my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, exercising, and reading. I am looking forward to another great summer!

Hello! My name is Miss Kaylee. I have been a classroom teacher for the past 4 years. I started my career out as a 3rd grade teacher. I am now a fifth grade science teacher at a middle school, where I also co-direct the school’s talent show. I have my Masters in Early Childhood/ Childhood Education, and am certified to teach birth-6th grade. I love to watch the Buffalo Bills, read, hike, and listen to Taylor Swift in my spare time. This summer I will be teaching the Stutelage Swifties Camp at the East Amherst location. I’m so excited to be teaching my first year at Stutelage, and can’t wait to learn, celebrate, and “make the friendship bracelets” with the Stutelage Swifties!

Hello everyone! My name is Miss Sarah. I am super excited to spend my first summer with Stutelage as a teacher’s aide in the North Tonawanda location. I currently attend St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY where I am an Inclusive Childhood Education major. Upon graduation, I will be certified to teach birth – 6th grade in both general and special education. In the future, I plan to work in the NYS area as an elementary teacher! Outside of class, I love to travel with friends and family, try new foods, explore the outdoors, and attend concerts. I’m super happy to get to know everyone this summer!

Hello all! My name is Miss Bailey. I am so excited to spend another summer at Stutelage making awesome camp memories! I am a 1st grade teacher in West Seneca, and I love to learn new things from my students! I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education and my Master’s Degree in Literacy. In my free time, I love to practice yoga and spend time outside. I enjoy crocheting, quilting, going to concerts, and spending time with my Chocolate Lab/Great Dane mix, Kayda! This summer, I will be teaching Navigating NASA and Floor Is Lava at East Amherst, North Tonawanda, and Depew. When I am not working camps, I will once again be at Stutelage as an administrative assistant. I can’t wait to see everyone’s smiling faces very soon!
