Join us as we explore our favorite children’s books with a story reading and a themed craft! Students will learn just how fun it is to become a buddy with a book and will develop strong critical thinking skills that encourage children to think beyond the text. Each day features a unique story, literacy lesson, and craft or activity. Taught by NYS certified literacy specialist Colleen McNamara, students will be given individual attention as Miss Colleen differentiates her lessons to meet the needs of each student. Specific focus will be placed on comprehension, fluency, close reading, finding text evidence and writing.
