It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and at Stutelage, we couldn’t let it pass without saying something we truly mean:
Thank you.
To every teacher, aide, and educator who shows up for our campers day after day—this one’s for you.
When families drop their children off at Stutelage, they’re trusting us with something important. The reason we’ve been able to earn that trust, session after session, year after year, comes down to our team.
Running a camp is one thing. Creating an environment where every child feels included, where learning is happening even when it feels like play, and where the energy stays high from morning drop-off to afternoon pickup—that takes intention, patience, and real skill.
That’s what our teachers and aides bring every single day.
When you pick up a happy, tired, excited child at the end of camp—still talking about their day or proud to show you what they made—you’re seeing the result of so much behind-the-scenes work.
Behind every camp day is an incredible amount of creativity and care. We are consistently blown away by the passion our team brings, the thought they put into each lesson, and the energy they show up with each day.
Our team:
Plans with intention.
Every activity, theme, and project is thoughtfully designed to keep kids engaged and growing.
Adapts in real time.
No two days go exactly as planned, and no two kids are exactly the same. Our staff pivots, problem-solves, and personalizes without missing a beat.
Builds confidence quietly.
They notice the child who hesitates before trying something new. They celebrate the small wins. They make sure no one gets left out.
Holds the room.
Managing a group of energetic kids while keeping the day fun, structured, and safe is genuinely hard work—and they make it look easy.
Keeps learning woven into the day.
They create experiences where kids stay curious, engaged, and thinking—without it ever feeling forced.
Gives more than they have to.
They stay a little longer, go a little deeper, and show up with consistency and care, even on the busiest days.
Our NYS-certified teachers and professional educators bring real classroom experience into the camp setting.
Our aides play an equally important role—supporting campers, building relationships, and helping each day run smoothly. Many are future teachers, school-year assistants, or professionals in fields like speech pathology and behavior analysis.
Some of our staff even started as Stutelage campers themselves and came back to be part of the experience for the next group of kids.
To our teachers and aides:
You are the reason children leave camp with bigger smiles, new friendships, and growing confidence. You are the steady presence in a busy, high-energy environment. You are the ones noticing the small moments that turn into big wins for kids.
During Teacher Appreciation Week, we hope you feel just how valued you are—by us, by our families, and by the kids whose days you shape in ways that last far beyond camp.
Thank you for your patience.
Your creativity.
Your consistency.
Your heart.
We see you, and we are so grateful.
