Create Your Own Program!

At Stutelage, we are committed to providing unique learning experiences to people of all ages. We are constantly creating private programs for groups of 5 or more people who are interested in a specific program, skill or lesson. Whether you are looking to earn a badge with your girl scout troop, to learn about different cultures with your home school group, or to enhance your crafting abilities with neighbors, we can create a customized program to meet your needs.

Please call for dates and prices. The options are endless, but we have included a few suggestions to spark your creativity.

Personalized Play Date

Your child is welcome to invite friends to Stutelage for a customizable play date. We will create interactive and engaging activities that are designed to foster cooperative learning and enhance social skills.
$12/child per hour (minimum of 5 participants)
Includes:

1 hour guided play date led by a NYS certified teacher
Story reading (parent provides book)
1 themed game
1 themed craft
Snack: pretzels or crackers and juice

Study Skills Session

Grab your classmates and head on over for a 1 hour study skill session based on the topic(s) of your choice. Taught by a NYS certified teacher, all instruction is aligned to the Common Core Curriculum. Whether you’re preparing for a test, brushing up on skills, or looking to strengthen your test-taking abilities, we can help.
$12/child/child per hour (minimum of 5 participants)
Includes:

1 hour study session taught by NYS certified teacher
Academic materials needed for the program (or provide your own)
Snack: pretzels or crackers and juice
5 minute Brain Break halfway through session
Potential topics include:
- Test-taking skills
- Study habits
- Organization
- Time management
- Studying for a classroom test
- Homework help
- NYS test preparation
- Reading – comprehension, decoding, fluency, nonfiction texts, text features, close reading
- Writing – creative writing, writing in response to a text, organization of ideas, specific writing formats
- Math – specific content
- Science – specific content
- Social Studies/History – specific content

Book Clubs

Our book clubs are designed specifically around the interests and needs of our participants. The host chooses a book that we will read during sessions and independently between meetings. The book will be discussed in detail, placing a strong emphasis on comprehension, making inferences and close reading. Interactive activities that directly relate to the reading will be a part of each session.
$49/child (minimum 5 participants)
Includes:

Three 1.5 hour sessions (scheduled at your convenience) taught by a NYS certified teacher
Engaging Common Core aligned instruction
Differentiated instruction to meet each learner’s needs
All class materials (students are expected to provide their own book, if applicable)
Additional sessions and longer meeting times available upon request

Writing Workshops

Our writing workshops allow the host to choose a type of writing for focus in this program. A highly qualified teacher will guide the students in the writing process from idea organization to publication for that specific type of writing. Students will leave with a finished product that displays their growth. Writing formats may include creative writing, personal narratives, nonfiction, poetry, persuasive writing, biographies, etc.
$49/child (minimum 5 participants)
Includes:

Three 1.5 hour sessions (scheduled at your convenience) taught by a NYS certified teacher
Engaging Common Core aligned instruction
Differentiated instruction to meet each learner’s needs
Additional sessions and longer meeting times available upon request
